DNA is turning 18 and we couldn’t be more thrilled! To celebrate, we are hosting a group show featuring 50 local artists. Each artist will be given a blank skateboard to do with what they will! All mediums will be represented so be sure to come by opening night to see what the artists came up with.

Every January, we have started off our new year with an art show in collaboration with The Homeless Alliance. Once again, we are pleased to welcome back the artists from the Fresh stART program!
Fresh stART is an open-studio art program designed to provide people experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City with a supportive environment for creating art. It operates twice a week at our Day Shelter. This program allows participants to express their creativity, manage emotional issues, develop social skills, and engage with others in a positive environment.
We will also be collecting donations of art supplies for the Fresh stART artists during the entirety of the show - from canvases to clay and beyond!

Fresh stART is a program of the Homeless Alliance designed to provide people experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City with a supportive environment for creating art.
In addition to providing a potential source of income, open studio art programs enable people experiencing homelessness to express themselves creatively, manage emotional issues, develop social skills through positive interaction with a peer group, and develop confidence and skills transferable to employment.
Fresh stART hosts studio time three times per week at the Homeless Alliance’s Day Shelter located on their WestTown Homeless Resource Campus. Art supplies are donated by community members and monetary donations help offset the costs to operate the program.

Plaza Fest is our district’s annual event where you can enjoy live music, eat good food, see mural painters in action, watch performing artists and shop items at artist booths.
All the Plaza shops stay open late and local artists flood the streets! 16th Street will be closed to make room for all the planned festivities.

Leondre Lattimore will also be joining us for an artist pop-up. We always have a selection of his prints in store, but this event will be a special afternoon full of poetry, music and local art.

December’s theme is “Hip Hop Holiday” in The Plaza! There will be plenty of activities going on around the district, but here is what we will have in front of our store:
From 6-8pm you can see Santa with out self-serving Santa photo-booth!
Curbside Chronicle will be set up and selling wrapping paper.
Isaac Diaz will have a pop-up inside and our art market will be in full swing.
We will also have hot cocoa and all the fixings for The Annual Plaza District Cocoa Crawl.
