What is your medium and process?

I primarily use photography, digital manipulation and mixed media collage. It blends elements of antiquated science, Swiss graphic design, typography, and geometry. As common elements piece together, space and hierarchy are carefully considered and strategically placed to build an overarching narrative.

Where are you from?

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX.

How did you get started?

I’ve always loved drawing. But I didn’t take it seriously until a teacher in high school suggest I take AP Art. Before that I wanted to go into something related to science or math. Now I incorporate that into my work.

How would you describe your latest body of work?

I’m exploring themes of isolation. The high-altitude flight suit is a metaphor about separating ourselves from outside influences to question the nature of our reality.

What inspires you?

There’s nothing quite as inspiring as traveling and experiencing new places.

What is one of your favorite pieces of art, film, or literature?

Lately I’ve been geeking out over shows like Maniac and Russian Doll on Netflix.

What are your goals for the future?

Working on getting into some other markets.

What advice do you have to artists?

Be yourself and keep pushing.

What is your medium and process?

I am a photographer, who is still stuck on using her medium format film camera. For my current body of work, I visualize images I want to create and make it happen by building miniature environments using a variety of materials. I then photograph those scenes.

Where are you from?

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

How did you get started?

I took my first photography class in ninth grade and it has been with me ever since.

How would you describe your latest body of work?

This project started as a way for me to focus in on, and pay credit to, the positive things going on in my life and the world around me. I’m using my fondness for photography and design to convey fond memories, cherished spaces and the things that spark my interest.

What inspires you?

My relationships, nature, and the talent and capabilities of others.

What is one of your favorite pieces of art, film, or literature?

I am awestruck by so many things people produce. However, to answer the question, Yayoi Kusama keeps popping up in my life so I will name drop her and her Infinity Mirrors.

What are your goals for the future?

To follow my intuition and keep feeding my interests.

What advice do you have to artists?

Trust yourself and don’t ignore your talents.
