Mind Filled Storm

Amanda Bradway and I are having the opening for our show in Portland at the Hellion Gallery this Thursday May 3rd at 6pm. If you live in Portland try to make your way out and if not we will try to keep everyone updated with pictures from the show and post everything online within the next few days.

We are super excited and have had a wonderful time doing the prep work and setting up the show over the last few days.

We want to extend our thanks to OVAC for awarding us the Creative Project Grant we applied for, that money will help us in many ways to complete this show and hopefully make a good impression up here in Portland.

Make sure to keep an eye out for the new work and posts on Facebook and Twitter or follow mr on Instagram at @mrdylanb.

To The End & Back Again

This is the first color on a new print that just got finished for my print show at Tree & Leaf Clothing Friday from 7-10pm.

There is a limited number of 45 hand pulled screen prints so come out to the show and snatch one up for $30. The show will also include a collection of sketches for sale and a few original works as well.

I will post images of the final print once we get a little closer to the show.

So a couple months ago my friends Dusty Gilpin and Tanner Frady were out spray painting at a local free wall in Oklahoma City. A guy came up and asked if he could take some photography, he had his little girl with him and it just seemed like a regular fun shoot. Little did we know it would be awesome.

His name is Nate Gomez, here is his Facebook page for his photography.

Here is a link to album he shot of us working.

Christopher Hunt at Midwest Media was awesome enough to film and edit these great videos to help promote my show at 1614. The first video focusses on the show itself and the second video is b-roll that is more focussed on the process of building up DNA Galleries and the arts community in Oklahoma City.

New works at 1614

I’m happy to announce that I will have new works at a solo show in Oklahoma City on Friday September 9th at 1614.

Almost all the new works are on paper and will attempt to explore new concepts and styles with a variety of character studies on paper and wood. An underlying theme is focuses on the spirit and energy realms in life.

Here is a link to the Facebook event. Hope to see you there.

Flight Spirit

Sometimes it is very difficult to break from a pattern in art. For 2011 I am going to try some new techniques and try to break out of my comfort zone for creating. We will see how it goes, and I’ll try to keep you updated.

For now check out my updated site which includes a new design section (with more updates to come) and my first piece for 2011.
